Overview

Preeti Urology & Kidney Hospitals is twenty years reputed, dedicated Urology & Nephrology center, having three branches at KPHB, BHEL & Kondapur region of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The fellowship helps the Participant to get exposure in all aspects of Endourology Procedures like RIRS, URS, PCNL, Laparoscopic Urology & Robotic Surgery.

Preeti Urology & Kidney Hospitals together have more than 150 inpatient capacity. We perform more than 3000 Endourology procedures & 1500 Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeries in a year. Urology department is headed by Dr. V Chandra Mohan, who has 20 years of experience in urology. He has performed more than 10,000 RIRS Procedures. He has been invited faculty in various workshops in the country and outside the country. The department has a team of 10 Urologists, 4 Nephrologists, 3 Radiologists and with team of 4 Anaesthetist

Objectives & Program Highlights

The objective of this fellowship is to produce urologists highly competent in Endourology, Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgery.

  • Exposure to high-volume monthly cases across 3 Unit Hospitals of Preeti Kidney Hospitals, Hydera bad, Telangana (KPHB I BHEL I KONDAPUR).
  • Hands on exposure in the Endourology, Laparoscopic & Robotic surgeries such as Ureteroscopy (URS), Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS), Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) etc.
  • Mentorship from the experienced consultant urologists team led by Dr. V. Chandra Mohan, Managing Director

Description & Program Structure

This fellowship program involving clinical experience in Endourology, Laparoscopy and Robotic Surgery. In addition to this clinical experience, time is available and encouraged for both clinical and publication work.

  • Active participation of fellows in clinical opd, surgeries, academic discussions, and case reviews.
  • Exposure to high-end urological procedures with a case load of approximately 300+ surgeries during the training period.
  • All the expenditures including travel, accommodation & food expenses have to be managed by the fellow himself.
  • Working hours are 09:00AM to 09:00PM

Operative Responsibilities

Daily Operation theatre and OPD work is available. Fellowship urologist also will play active role during the Endourology, Laparoscopic & Robotic training courses held by the hospital. The clinical component of the training program will aim at development of technical skills in the operating room, development of familiarity and dexterity with Endourology instrumentation. Exposure to various advanced Endourology, Laparoscopic & Robotic equipment is facilitated.

Clinical Responsibilities

The fellowship urologist will be expected to perform clinical duties following the norms of the hospital. The fellowship urologist has to actively participate in daily ward rounds to see the inpatients, preoperative and postoperative patients and attend the outpatient clinics

Academic Responsibilities

Academic activities include regular clinical case discussions and academic interactions. The fellowship urologist will actively coordinate with the research coordinator for clinical data collection for studies and presentations. The fellowship urologist will be presenting papers/videos in intra institutional meetings, month ly Hyderabad Urological Association, zonal, national meetings held during the fellowship tenure. Each fellow ship urologist should be actively involved in publishing. Additionally, the fellowship urologist will be responsi ble for the design and implementation of any clinical trials being conducted during their training period

Duration of Course & Fee Structure

  • 1.Short-term (3 Months)
  • 2. Long-term (6 Months)
  • The Fellowship Fees is as follows:

  • Short-term Fellowship(3 Months) – 1000/- USD (US Dollars) per month
  • Long-term Fellowship(6Months) – 1000/- USD (US Dollars) per month
  • Please note that the fees shall be paid during the date of joining only

    Fellow is responsible to submit the transaction details (or) reference number for the paid fees amount

Fellows are required to submit their following Health certificates / Medical reports:

  • 1. Tuberculosis
  • 2. HIV
  • 3. HCV/HBSAG
  • 4. Proof of Hepatitis B Immunity (Anti Hb Titre)

Eligibility for Admission :

Basic requirement is M.Ch / DNB in Urology from a recognized institution.

Accommodation :

Fellows have to arrange their accommodation themselves (necessary assistance will be provided for the accommodation purpose).

Duration of Course & Fee Structure

  • Foreign delegates must apply to the National Medical Council (NMC) of India for temporary permission.
  • Preeti Kidney Hospitals will provide the required support letter
  • The candidate once selected must get registered under Telangana State Medical Council (TGMC) before joining

  • The fellow must acknowledge and sign the fellowship contract and the rules for fellowship document and return along with the other documents mentioned to process their application.
  • Fellow must abide by all the rules, regulations, policies and bylaws of Preeti Kidney Hospitals.
  • Preeti Kidney Hospitals is not liable to provide any stipend support, insurance or any other benefits to the fellow
  • The fellowship duration will be for 12 weeks (3 months) for short-term and 24 weeks (6 months) for long-term
  • Upon completion of the fellowship, Preeti Kidney Hospitals will provide an fellowship completion certificate.
  • Clinical outpatient services are usually from 09AM to 09PM from Monday to Saturday
  • The fellow himself is responsible for his travel, accommodation, food and local transportation
